LONG TERM PROJECTS :: Ende Residence
|
||||||||||||||||||||
The Ende family wanted to transform their front grassy lawn into a native plants landscape. To accomplish this, we first sheet mulched the entire lawn in the summer. Sheet mulching is a process where you staple heavy cardboard over the grass; top it with compost and then mulch. This basically “cooks” the grass away, leaving a well amended bed. That same fall we then installed a native landscape, including blueberries and fruit trees. As their landscape matures, it will not only provide privacy for the family but also great visual interest throughout the seasons for the frequent pedestrian traffic. |
